How to make a booking via the Nat mags Site / off the page offers / co-branded inserts: Simply complete our online booking form (click the ‘Make a Booking’ link on the tour page) or give us a call on 0207 553 6955 where you can speak to a member of our Reservations team.
What to do if having problems booking: If you have a problem with an online booking, please give us a call and our Reservations team will either take your booking over the phone or guide your through the online booking process.


How to pay – Deposit / In Full: At the time of booking a deposit of £50 per person for UK tours and £100 per person for all other tours will be required. Payments by debit card incur no charge but credit card payments for deposits and balances will incur a 1.5% charge. You must pay for your holiday at least 8 weeks (4 weeks for UK tours) before departure. This can be done through the client area of the website (click the ‘my booking’ or the ‘click for client area’ links on the homepage) or over the phone.
Please note that no reminder for balance payments is sent to you and balance payments are not receipted unless requested. If you book your holiday within eight weeks of departure, full payment is required at time of booking.


What happens once I have made a booking? You will receive a confirmation invoice through the post a few days after you make your booking. Final joining instructions and documentation will be despatched approximately 10 days before travel. 
How can I change details on my booking? The easiest way to change the details of your booking is to give us a call on 020 7553 6955 and go through the changes with a member of the team.

What if I have any special requirements? Please mention any special requirements you may have at the time of booking. If you book online and are concerned about any requirements, please call us and we’ll do our best to reassure you.
Can I request a brochure? Yes, you can either order a brochure online through the ‘Request a brochure’ link in the top left hand corner of the website, or you can call us on 020 7553 6955 to request one. Brochures are sent out first class on the day or day after you make your request, so you’ll receive it quickly.

Am I protected if the operator goes out of business? The air holidays operated by Travel Editions Ltd., are ATOL protected, since we hold an Air Travel Organiser’s Licence granted by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 3525. In the unlikely event of our insolvency, the CAA will ensure that you are not stranded abroad and will arrange to refund any money you may have paid to us for an advance booking. We are also members of the ABTA (ABTA No V3120), ensuring both your financial protection for all non air holidays and high standards of professionalism and reliability (www.abta.com). We are also members of the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO).
How is my data used?  In order to process your booking and to ensure that your travel arrangements run smoothly and meet your requirements, we need to use the information you provide such as names, address, any special needs/dietary requirements etc.
We take full responsibility for ensuring the proper security measures are in place to protect your information. We must pass the information on to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements such as airlines, hotels, transport companies etc.
The information may also be provided to security or credit checking companies, public authorities such as customs/immigration if required by them, or as required by law. Additionally, where your holiday is outside the European Economic Area (EEA), controls on data protection in your destination may not be as strong as the legal requirements in this country.
We will not pass on any information to any person not responsible for part of your travel arrangements or booking process. This applies to any sensitive information that you give to us such as details of any disabilities, or dietary/religious requirements. If we cannot pass this information to relevant suppliers, whether in the EEA or not, we cannot provide your booking.

How to pay – Deposit / In Full Full payment is usually required at the time of booking.  In some cases where you are booking over 12 weeks in advance it may be possible to pay a deposit depending on your booking. 

What happens once I have made a booking?Once you have made a booking you will be sent an email confirming the details within 24 hours. Once all the elements of your booking (transport, hotel accommodation and any extras) are confirmed full payment will be taken,  Your travel documents will be sent by email or post at least two weeks before departure (unless you are booking within two weeks of departure when tickets will be sent as soon as possible).
  
How can I change details on my booking?
If, after our confirmation invoice has been issued, you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way, for example your chosen departure date or accommodation, we will do our utmost to make these changes but it may not always be possible and where it is possible changes will incur charge plus an administration fee which will depend on the type of booking.  In most cases our special promotional offers are non-amendable and non-refundable. Call to make your booking or enter the details in the ‘Special Requests’ box during the online booking process.  We will pass on your requirements to the relevant partner however unfortunately we cannot guarantee that your requirement(s) will be met.

Am I protected if the operator goes out of business?
Holidays including air travel are ATOL protected by the CAA and holidays not including air travel are protected by ABTA. In the unlikely event of Acromas becoming insolvent, you would be refunded any money that you have already paid us. Items not purchased directly through Great Getaways will not be protected under the above Acromas ABTA or ATOL licenses. Repatriation: Holiday organisers are required by law to state the arrangements for the repatriation of customers in the event of insolvency. Air holidays are ATOL protected holidays by rail or self-drive are protected by ABTA and in the unlikely event of insolvency, the CAA/ABTA will ensure that you are not stranded abroad.

How is my data used?
In the case of Great Getaways working in association with partners like allaboutyoushop.com you will be subject to their privacy policy. For security reasons many countries now require airlines to gather passenger’s personal data, which means your personal data may be passed to the destination country’s security agency. Please note telephone calls maybe monitored or recorded for staff training purposes.
